UI Web Developer

About the role:

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop User Interfaces: Build and maintain user-friendly, responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. Ensure applications are optimized for maximum speed and scalability.

- Component Libraries: Leverage component libraries such as Semantic UI, Material UI, or similar, to enhance UI development, ensuring consistency and reusable components.

- API Integration: Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end interfaces with RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data flow between user-facing elements and server-side components.

- Web Standards: Implement web accessibility standards, ensuring applications are usable for a diverse range of users and meet WCAG guidelines. Focus on SEO best practices to ensure applications are search engine optimized.

- Analytics & Tracking: Set up and integrate application tracking analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to monitor user behavior, performance, and app usage.

- Agile Development: Participate actively in SCRUM ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives), collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality features in an agile environment.

Requirement:

- High proficiency with core web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).

- Experience with React and front-end component libraries such as Semantic UI, Material UI, or similar.

- Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and SEO best practices.

- Experience integrating web analytics and tracking tools such as Google Analytics.

- Familiarity with SCRUM or agile development methodologies.

- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Web Development, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
